Jon Alexander is the President of Sunshine Construction LLC and has been a general contractor for the past 25 years. Sunshine Construction LLC is based in Seattle, Washington, and is nationally known for its work specializing in green building and remodeling. His homes have recently won awards in the Seattle Built Green Design competition and the Innovations in Conservation Award from the Resource Venture. The Sensible House, a new construction project, was Built Green’s first home to be awarded 5 Stars. The Luk Residence was Built Green’s first 5 Star remodel project. Jon has given numerous workshops on green building at local and national conferences. He has long been on the executive committee for the Built Green program of the King-Snohomish Counties Master Builder Association and is one of the founders of the Northwest EcoBuilding Guild. Jon earned a BA in Environmental Studies from the University of Washington and is a fourth generation construction contractor.
